With all the recent buzz of vegan or meat reduced diets, untraditional forms of protein are also starting to trend! While this is exciting in the world of nutrition, there are also many misconceptions regarding protein sources and preparation.
In this fun, hands-on workshop, Nutritionist Megan Pope of Raw Eatery & Market will walk you through turning both simple and exotic sources of plant based protein into delicious meals, snacks, and desserts.
Participants will leave the class with a basic understanding of how to find and prepare plant based proteins, along with copies of the recipes and a sample of goodies made in class to take home.

Megan Pope co-owner of Raw Eatery & Market, and graduate of University of Alberta's Nutrition and Food Science, has developed recipes and menus based on plant based proteins. Megan is also currently enrolled in the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, and has previously worked in schools developing community nutrition programs.
